88 – The Absurdity of the Corporate Mind …

Tuesday, October 15th, 2013

Disregarding the obvious Fact that our increasing levels of consumption and exploitation of natural resources are throwing out of equilibrium the stable environment that has allowed humankind to thrive, most of us continue to believe the dangerous fallacy that Nature will continue to sustain our unsustainable growth without having to face consequences for the damage we are inflicting, because we are special.

We are not.

Under this false belief we have created an absurd world; a world where we permit multinational corporations to unashamedly bare the lowest levels of irresponsibility, the highest degrees of greed, and the tyrannical pillaging of natural resources without a trace of accountability, thus creating a world where the poor and disadvantaged are exploited and pushed into the cruelest and most horrible levels of inhumanity; a world where the Earth from which we emerge into existence is perceived as an unlimited resource to be exploited for man’s benefit; a world where the divisive nature of organized religions and the categorization of human beings into  disconnected and unrelated factions by socio-political institutions, incite conflict and the scourge of scapegoating to avoid responsibility for their actions.

All this absurdity obscures from us the beautiful Symmetry that binds all natural systems (be it an atom, a cell, a human being, our species, our environments, our Earth, our solar system) into our creative, self-generating, self-organizing Universe. But this Symmetry is bound by a non-negotiable pre-condition, an unyielding law, which demands that, for naturally evolving systems like our species to unfold into a viable future, the energy sources we consume must be in equilibrium with the energy sources we dissipate. If this equilibrium is not sustained, we will either re-organize or die out.

Do the minds behind the corporate mentality really believe that they can bend this unbending natural law and continue to ravage the Earth until there is no more to ravage? Their rapacious greed and the extent of their environmental ignorance are making our Earth ill, throwing its chemical composition out of equilibrium. She will recover and re-organize as she has done many, many times in the past, but we, the ones making her ill, might not.

87 – We Mirror our Universe (Part II)

Tuesday, October 1st, 2013

Our main organic senses – Vision, Hearing, Taste, Smell, Touch – are the tools developed throughout our evolution to help us adapt and survive, but they are not capable to sense beyond our immediate environment, and thus the Universal Characteristics in us are veiled.

But with the power of our imagination – our sixth sense? – we do have the capacity to sense beyond our limitations and ‘see’ that, mirroring our Universe, we endow everything we generate in our bodies (cells, nervous system, etc.) with a degree of freedom not only to regenerate and reshape us, but also to allow us to affect change, and thus:

Mirroring our Universe, we are dynamic and self-propelled systems that are never at rest even when we appear to be at rest.

Mirroring our Universe, we uphold a process that, amid the constant demands and fluctuations of environments, self-determinedly progresses towards ever-higher levels of complexity and order.

Mirroring our Universe, we convert energy sources into the mass of our bodies, hold them deftly into our unfolding form, and then, albeit transformed, release them back into the environment as motion, action, determination.

Mirroring our Universe, we are driven by Primordial Forces that incite us to bond, to consume, to create, to move forward.

Mirroring our Universe, we encode every single one of our components with the knowledge to follow a pre-determined yet open pathway that paves the way for what it is to be created, what function it is to perform, when it is to cross into another realm.

Implausible as these universal similarities may seem to be under a perception of the world based solely on the limited capacity of our organic senses, the tangible connection with our Universe they reveal is unavoidable.

‘Seeing’ our connection with the Universe will change us. It will make us ‘see’ how deeply embedded we are in Nature; it will make us ‘see’ that, without forgetting that Nature will always have the last word, we do possess a degree of freedom to affect change.

Nor science, nor organized religion, nor current educational systems, with their servitude to self-serving interests (power, profit, control) will lead us selfishly to unleash the power of our imagination; this is something we must do ourselves with the simple knowledge that, with a degree of freedom and the imagination to ‘see’ beyond our limitations, we have the amazing capacity to ‘see’ how, in our most fundamental characteristics, we do mirror the Universe from which we are created.
