43 – God is not …

The similarities between the structural characteristics of our bodies and those of our Universe are astonishing.

• Like our Universe, each one of us is a congregation of myriad elements gathered together into a self-bounded, self-generating and self-perpetuating whole;
• Like our Universe, each one of us is a skilled entity with the innate knowledge on how to attain and sustain relative continuity amongst constant change;
• Like our Universe, each one of us is a self-energizing and self-organizing system endowed with the capacity to manipulate and be manipulated by the movement of Evolution.

These Facts are incontrovertible. In a fundamental way, as everything else in nature, we are little copies of our Universe. There is an incontestable interconnection in our similarities; it is thus difficult to understand why we persist on ignoring this Fact and re-enforcing instead the Fallacy that we are separate and different from the natural world.

There is a Human yearning to know what we truly are. We are naturally very curious, especially during our younger years, but then we are indoctrinated into following political, economic and religious ideologies that are divisive and destructive, and most of them bent on obliterating the natural inquisitiveness of the human mind.

But whether or not we follow a religion or a political or an economic ideology, there is no way to deny the Fact that, like water molecules in the flow of a river, we are participating in the unfolding of a Primordial Force … Something or Someone, immense and intelligent and brutal and creative and self-organizing and terribly chaotic and beautifully ordered … that instinctively and forcefully drives us to bond and self-generate and self-perpetuate. Some may say this Primal Force is Nature, but Nature is just another one of Its manifestations.

When we climax in sexual intercourse, if the intercourse is consented and desired, we touch this Primordial Force; we reach a moment when our minds and every one of our cells become one with It. There is in that moment more than just pleasure; there is wonder at what has taken place, at how mysterious and profound such an essential part of us can be, so urging, so primal, so beautiful. Some of us try to touch this Force through meditation; it is an arduous and lonely and often times rewarding experience, but nothing brings us as close to the Primordial Force as the ecstasy of a sexual climax, especially when it is reached at the same time by both participants. We become One.

God is not the cruel and vengeful old man created by the imagination of men thousands of years ago. God might be the elusive yet touchable living Force that drives us to bond, and self-energize, and self-organize, and self-generate, and self-perpetuate, so It might continue to unfold into greater levels of order and complexity … kind of how we drive neurons in our brains to bond in novel ways so we might continue to evolve into greater levels of awareness … or stupidity.
