3 – The human brain evolves into greater levels of complexity…

The human brain evolves into greater levels of complexity and greater capacity to comprehend Reality through paradigm shifts.

A very clear paradigm shift in human history is the one that took place between our concept of nature before the Copernican/Galilean era – when we saw the sun coming up in the East and going down in the West and assumed that the earth was the center of the universe – and our concept of nature today when our brain has been re-configured to unquestionably accept the fact that it is the earth that rotates around the sun. But our current concept of nature, in addition to unsustainable economic demands and irrational religious ideologies, is still dominated by ancient and destructive fallacies (Bacon’s man’s mastery over nature, Descartes’ mind severance from the body, Newton’s mechanical and meaningless Universe, Darwin’s Evolution twisted into ‘might makes right’), and it is destroying us.

If we are to survive into the future, if we are to leave a decent world to our descendants, a shift in the way we understand our world is desperately needed. We need a concept of Reality based on the irrefutable fact that, although incredibly complex and conscious of our own self-awareness, we grow out of the environment into natural systems made out of atoms, just like the myriad natural systems with which we share our world.

“Accomplishing something after many hardships.”When you hold a dream and you start working on it, the concept of “being tired” becomes blurred because it’s something you always wanted to do. But to get to goal there’s a long road ahead. Time, age, work, people who make their happiness by slandering you to the ground… even the little bug called procrastination slow you down and make you quit. Some do. Some don’t. When you reach the goal and shed blood, sweat and tears over it… you can just look back and see the road that was ran with so much hardships that coaxed you into quitting…And have the satisfaction that it didn’t happen. “It’s the road, not the destination” some people say. I think it’s a combination of both. The satisfaction of going down the road and actually reaching the destination.AWESOME!
